Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs), a group of white blood cells, react immediately as part of the immunological system to the presence of a cancerous tumor: its DNA fragmentation changes its behavior.

Our groundbreaking early cancer detection platform hinges on the combination of a proprietary high-precision method combined with the power of our own AI-based analysis tools. It allows us to detect multiple cancers independent from their stage.

A biomarker has no clinical use as long as the sensitivity is not above 75 - 80%. 4D Lifetest outperforms the most advanced genomic liquid biopsies regarding sensitivity for cancer stages I and II.

However, until now, 4D Lifetest Dx is not yet cancer type specific. Thanks to our investment and further development in our AI applications,  this will change within close future. AI combined with 4D Lifetest offers a unique scalability potential not only in volume but also types of applications addressing huge and fast growing market potentials. Our own AI enables 4D Lifetec to define cancer type and subtype detection which is key once the screening is applied.

4D Lifetec owns CE-IVD cerfiticates for its verification assays for breast, lung, prostate and bowel cancer and intents to commercialise its lung verification assay in the US beginning 2025 followed by an IPO at the US stock exchange.

Aortyx SL

Aortyx is a pioneer company founded in 2018 by researchers from the IQS School of Engineering and the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona that aims at providing a new generation of endovascular devices to treat vascular diseases. With an initial focus on treating aortic dissection, Aortyx is developing a family of biomimetic, bioresorbable endovascular patches that are deployed via a specialized delivery system. The patches are designed to adhere to the vessel wall, and to promote natural repair of the aorta and biointegration within the native tissue.

Both the patch and the delivery system are a platform for numerous applications in the cardiovascular space, with special focus on diseases of the aorta and structural heart.

Surgify commercializes a novel tissue-selective bone cutting technology that enables safer, faster, and less invasive bone surgeries. The company's first product, Surgify Halo, is CE-marked and recently also FDA-approved. It has been used successfully in over 200 spine, ENT, and neurosurgical cases in Finland and Sweden with no reported drill-related complications. Brightmind.AI GmbH

At Brightmind.AI we address a literal pain point, namely migraine attacks. Current treatments (mainly pharmaceuticals) are largely subject to insufficient pain relief and side effects. We develop a brain stimulation headset based on a proven technology (rTMS), which has been shown to be more effective than most currently existing treatments by latest research. To further increase effectiveness, we read the brain’s reaction to stimulation. These data-driven insights will provide us with a competitive advantage. Our technology is generally applicable to various neurological conditions, such as depression, dementia, or chronic pain treatment and thus we can expand beyond migraine and tap the market of CNS therapeutics. The expertise in our team spans electrical, biomedical, and AI engineering, neuroscience, as well as MedTech industry experience. We have already completed our first small-scale pilot study, where we gathered initial evidence on efficacy and safety. Currently, we are developing the 2nd generation of our prototype and are about to launch a larger-scale study for regulatory approval.

Genesis Theranostix Group

Pregnancy complications severely affect 20% of pregnancies (~25million/year) and can lead to chronic (e.g. cardiometabolic) diseases in women and their children. Genesis Theranostix had ground-breaking discovery on the four distinct disease mechanisms of preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication with death toll of 76,000 women and 500,000 babies every year. We have developed a liquid-biopsy-based preeclampsia screening test, which is 80% accurate for all patients compared to ~50% accuracy of competitor tests. Moreover, our test can also recognize the activated disease mechanisms in very early stages, thus, it is highly predictive, preemptive, and preventive. Goethe CVI GmbH is a Spin-Off from the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, combining the evidence and know how of >20 years or research, evidence and clinical knowhow into a disruptive, fully integrated, AI-based solution for cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.

We build an AI-based integrated software that automates the entire diagnostic process from the examination (scanning solution) to the post-processing of images and generation of the report (reporting solution). Nearly all processes currently performed by specialists are replaced by artificial intelligence; expensive examination time and manpower are significantly reduced. Techniques developed by Goethe-CVI allow more accurate, evidence-based diagnostics for better diagnosis, higher confidence, and earlier personalized therapy recommendations (HeartCures). Time and skill reduction make CMR financially attractive even within the statuatory health care system.

The roadmap includes building fully automated units allowing for rapid access of highly efficient cardiac health surveillance tools.
