Rod Perry is global head of technology investing
for 3i plc – one of the largest venture capital companies
in the world operating in 15 countries from 32 offices. He is a
member of the Board of 3i Group plc and a member of both the Executive
Committee and Investment Committee. Between 1997 and 2001, Mr Perry
was responsible for the 3i investment business in Asia Pacific.
Mr Perry joined 3i in 1985 and spent four years with the global
technology sector teams reviewing investment opportunities and five
years as CIO. In the five years prior to joining 3i, Mr Perry was
a member of the Boards of three technology start-ups and a co-founder
of one of these start-ups and of a technology consultancy based
in the UK. In 1977, Mr Perry founded a displays and video games
business in the UK and sold this company to a major Japanese video
games manufacturer in 1980. Prior to this, he was a manager and
project manager in advanced computing and communications. Mr Perry
has a BSc in Physics and is a member of the Institution of Electrical
Engineers.

Christian Reitberger holds a PhD in Physics obtained

and photonics investments. He led the 12snap, Ciao, Healy Hudson,
Systemonic and Webraska transactions and was involved in the Centerbeam

a partner focussing on communication technologies.
Jude holds an engineering degree in telecommunication
and computer science from the Technical University of Munich an

Falk F. Strascheg (63) is an electronic engineer
and experienced entrepreneur. He is Managing Director of Extorel,
one of the leading German Venture Capital Fund of Fund corporations
which he founded in 1998. In 1987, he established Technologieholding,
grew it to the leading German Venture Capital company and sold it
in 2000 to 3i.
Earlier, in 1971, he launched Laser-Optronic in
Munich. In less than ten years, the enterprise became one of the
leading European producers of laser systems, with branches in Brussels,
Milan and Paris. In 1981, Falk Strascheg sold his enterprise to
Coherent Inc. of Palo Alto, California, the world leader in laser
manufacturing.
Falk Strascheg was elected president of the European

at various German and foreign high-tech enterprises.

of the European NanoBusiness Association and serves on its Advisory
Board.
Simon holds a Ph.D. in surface and solid-state
physics from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from Harvard
Business School (HBS). He serves on the board of the HBS Alumni
Association of Germany. Simon has published and received a number
of patents. He has lived and worked in the U.K., the U.S., Belgium,
and Germany.
Simon’s broad technological background has
enabled him to take a leadership role in multiple investment areas,
from polymer electronics through to medical devices. Simon is currently

Friedrich Bornikoel has more than 15 year experience
in venture capital and has been a Managing Partner of TVM since
1997. His investment activities focus mainly on companies in the
following markets: software, industrial applications, design and
planning tools, telecommunications, and semiconductors. Currently
Mr. Bornikoel represents TVM on the Board of Directors of alfabet
meta-modeling AG (Berlin), Impress Software AG (Hanover), as well
as VPIsystems (Holmdel, NJ). For many years he was a member of the
board of SCM Microsystems, a early TVM lead investment, and various
other portfolio companies.
In May 2003 Mr. Bornikoel was elected to the Board
of the German venture capital organization BVK.
Prior to joining TVM in 1987, he managed a large
program administered by the Federal Minister of Science and Technology
(BMFT) of public R&D grants in the area of advanced microelectronic
components and sensors based on fiberoptics, integrated optics,
and semiconductor technologies, as well as related design methods.
Before that, he was a project leader at the Fraunhofer Institute
for Applied Solid State Technology in Munich. Friedrich Bornikoel
earned his master in physics (Diplom Physiker) at the Technical
University of Munich.

Ivy Lindstrom Fredericks is Managing Director
of Corporate Finance of Westminster Securities. Ms. Fredericks advises
domestic and international companies on public and private debt

Ms. Fredericks focuses primarily on emerging growth companies.
Ms. Fredericks has over 20 years of investment
banking experience. Previously, she was a Managing Director of Corporate
Finance with Ambient Capital and KPMG Peat Marwick. Prior to that
she was in the Mergers and Acquisitions departments of Kidder, Peabody
& Co. and Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Ms. Fredericks received a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Economics from Smith College, and a Masters of International
Affairs in International Business from Columbia University. She
recently taught a course at New York University entitled “Privatization
and Economic Reform: Focus on Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet
Union”. She speaks frequently at international conferences
on a variety of Corporate Finance topics. Ms. Fredericks is on the
Board of Directors of VI Group plc, a software company based in
the UK and publicly-traded on the London Stock Exchange Alternative
Investment Market and the American Stock Exchange..
