Rudolf P. Franz is a member of the board of 3i Deutschland GmbH
and is responsible for Bavaria and Austria. In 1995 Rudolf P. Franz
joined Technologieholding. He worked as Investment Manager focussed
on Information and Communication Technology. Two years later, he
became Equity Partner and was responsible for the investment team
in the Munich office. In the beginning of 2000, the 4 partners sold
Technologieholding to 3i Group plc. Prior to his activities for
Technologieholding, Rudolf P. Franz was Portfolio Manager for new
technology investments at Zeppelin Holding GmbH. Rudolf P. Franz
holds a master degree in industrial engineering and started his
career as trainee in the marketing and sales department at Orenstein&Koppel
AG, an international construction machinery producer. After an international
trainee program in Europe and in the US he worked as an assistant
to the board of directors. He was in charge of strategic projects
in the marketing and sales organisation of Orenstein&Koppel AG.

Christian Reitberger,

Christian Reitberger holds a PhD in Physics obtained sub auspiciis
prasidentis from the University of Vienna. After having worked in
various research functions he joined McKinsey & Company where he
specialized in serving fast growing high technology clients in the
fields of telecommunications, digital media and biotechnology in
their start-up phases. Christian was instrumental in building McKinsey
New Venture, the consulting offering targeted towards high growth
companies and their investors. He left as a Senior Engagement Manager
after four and a half years to join Apax Partners in October 1999
as an Assistant Director in our Munich office. Christian is responsible
for Internet and e-Commerce related investments and is member of
our telecommunications group.

Werner Dreesbach,

Werner Dreesbach joined Atlas Venture in 1998.
Previously he was VP of Corporate Strategies at Viasoft, a position
he assumed following Viasofts 1996 acquisition of R&O Software-Technik
GmbH. As CEO of R&O, Werner built the company up over a period of
eleven years into a leading international provider of enterprise
repository solutions. After graduating with a degree in computer
science from the University of Bonn, he spent his early career in
IT consulting working for clients in the banking, insurance, pharmaceutical
and transportation sectors. Werner represents Atlas on the Boards
of Cassiopeia, Censio, Datango, Dock 11, Flatfox, GoIndustry, Hyperwave
and Klotz Digital.

Originally qualified as a pharmacist, Franc has studied
in both the UK and the US, obtaining an MBA and Diploma in Marketing.
He worked in the drug industry, with Boots in the UK, Eli Lilly
and Pfizer, in a number of roles ranging from Sales Representative
to Senior Product Manager responsible for new product launches.
Franc moved into Investment Banking in 1989 working for Robert Fleming,
Paribas and then BZW. He returned to BNP Paribas in 1998. Franc
has been involved in a number of placements, both primary and secondary,
ranging from the Wellcome flotation to a number of Biotech deals.
He is currently responsible for Pharmaceutical, MedTech and BioTech

Falk Strascheg,

Falk F. Strascheg (60) is an electronic engineer and experienced
entrepreneur. He is active for Extorel, one of the leading German
Venture Capital Fund of Fund corporations which he founded in 1998.
In 1987, he established Technologieholding, grew it to the leading
German Venture Capital company and sold it in 2000 to 3i.
Earlier, in 1971, he launched Laser-Optronic
in Munich. In less than ten years, the enterprise became one of
the leading European producers of laser systems, with branches in
Brussels, Milan and Paris. In 1981, Falk Strascheg sold his enterprise
to Coherent Inc. of Palo Alto, California, the world leader in laser
manufacturing.
Falk Strascheg began his professional career
at NCR Augsburg. There, as division manager, he headed quality control
and technology transfer between the American parent company and
NCR Germany.
Falk Strascheg was elected president of the
European Venture Capital Association (EVCA) for the fiscal year
1997/98. He is also currently on supervisory, advisory and governing
boards at various German and foreign high-tech enterprises.

Oliver Novick started his career
in 1969 with General Telephone & Electronics in New York and served
in various capacities in Europe, based in Milan. From 1984 to 1989,

in Europe and North America in large and medium size companies and
start-up companies, representing total investments of over US $600
million. He was also responsible for the Groups venture capital
activities in the US and Europe. From 1989 to 1994, he was Group

television, cinema, publishing, financial services and retail. Oliver

Chemi Peres, Managing

Chemi Peres is a true pioneer of the venture capital industry in
Israel. In 1992, he founded and managed Mofet Israel Technology
Fund, which invested in several companies that went public, including
Netro Corporation, Orckit Communications, VocalTec, Paradigm Geophysical,
Precise, and BreezeCOM. Other Mofet startups were acquired by US
corporations, including Scorpio (sold to US Robotics), NiceCom (sold
to 3Com), and Shany Computers (sold to Intel). Prior to Mofet, Chemi
Peres was Director of Business Development and Marketing at Decision
Systems in Israel (DSI), and a Senior Consultant to Israel Aircraft
Industries (IAI). In 1996, he co-founded the Polaris Venture Capital
partnership, which has been instrumental in building an in-house
portfolio of services to help start-up companies at the various
stages of their development. True to his pioneering spirit, Chemi
Peres opened the Polaris VC office in Silicon Valley in 1998 and
personally ran the day-to-day operations during its first year.
Chemi Peres is one of the founders of the Israel Venture Association.

Keith Mullins heads the EIB Technology Group at Schroder Salomon

Fellow. Prior to joining the European Investment Bank, Keith directed

Oliver Haeggberg joined the management team of T-Venture as Investment
Director in 1999. He is responsible for national projects for the

activities of T-Venture of America, Inc. Previously, he took part

Capital had a worldwide portfolio of 350 companies valued at about
$8 billion. Prior to Intel Capital, Christian Waldvogel occupied
European-wide responsibilities for Intel Corporation in the broadband
communication space (based in Munich) and for the European Telecommunications
Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT) in the digital television space
(based in Paris). Christian Waldvogel holds a Ph.D. in Cryptography
and a Master Degree in Telecommunications from the Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology, Zurich. He also holds a Bachelor of Science
and Engineering from Princeton University, US.

Wilfried Verstraete was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Wanadoo
on September 1, 2000. 42 years old, he is in charge of the financial
management of the multimedia activities of the France Telecom group,
after 5 years as Financial Director of Mobistar. In September 1998,
he promoted the launch of Mobistar on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
The operation, which was a great success, made it possible to put
some 20% of the shares into public ownership. Previously, Wilfried
Verstraete has held various management posts in Belgium and abroad,
within the Belgian Recticel Group, which manufactures polyurethane
foam. Wilfried Verstraete is an economic sciences graduate from
VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel). He also has a Masters in Financial
Management from WLEKHO (Vlaamse Ekonomische Hogeschool-Belgium)
and in 1993 followed the International Executive Program at INSEAD.

Alf Grunwald has been with Warburg Pincus since February 2000. He
has been associated with Warburg Pincus as a member of the Technical
Advisory Board and surfed as a Board Member for various Warburg
Pincus portfolio companies since 1997. Prior to joining Warburg
Pincus, he was Chief Executive Officer and President of Deloitte
and Touche Consulting Group-ICS and Vice President of Sales and
Marketing of SAP Canada. Alf Grunwald is a Director of APP Group
