AusBiotech Ltd is the peak biotechnology industry organisation
in Australia, working on behalf of its Members and the industry
to implement and develop national imperatives, according to a national
agenda, with active state and regional AusBiotech branches assisting
with the implementation and delivery of activities and services.
Today, biotechnology encompasses a broad range of traditional and
entrepreneurial biosciences such as, but not limited to, human and
animal health, agriculture and food, diagnostics, medical and veterinary
devices, informatics, genomics, proteomics, manufacturing and environmental
technologies. AusBiotech endeavours to represent all biosciences
within the biotechnology industry in Australia.
To assist in the growth and development of the Australian biotechnology
industry, AusBiotech has identified 6 key areas of activity, focusing
on the entire supply chain of the biotechnology industry, which
will bring benefits to AusBiotech Members, biotechnology stakeholders,
and the nation. These 6 key elements, which will be directed towards
an industry focus through representation and lobbying, as well as
fostering communication, public relations, participation, investment,
education, and networking, are:

Medicon Valley Academy
Medicon Valley Academy (MVA) was set up in 1997 as a regional Swedish/Danish
network organisation with the aim of catalysing integration and
development in Medicon Valley. MVA is a not-for-profit organisation
and member financed. Its members include practically all the universities,
healthcare organisations, and most of the biotech and medico related
companies and other organisations in the region.
MVA has a strong network and an extensive database of contacts in
